Overlooking Hokianga Harbor at Omapere, The Sands Hotel Hokianga is a pretty 4-star hotel offering spacious accommodations in a lovely location. The rooms range from 32 sqm - 60sqm, and all have private bathrooms and walk-in showers; 10 Villas have separate bathtubs. 20 of the rooms have a balcony or deck (Superior and Beachfront 2-bedroom only) overlooking the water. This hotel has 43 guest rooms including ten 5* Luxury Villas. The rooms are a good size, and all have private bathrooms. 37 of the rooms have a balcony with 19 rooms overlooking the water. The hotel has 1 restaurant for guests which offers a lovely selection of traditional New Zealand cuisine including many seafood specialties. The Sands Bar & Restaurant is the perfect venue to enjoy a meal with a view as it overlooks the water and the dunes across the bay. The Sands Hotel Hokianga is ideally located to explore all that the Hokianga Harbor area has to offer, including the surrounding forests, dunes and sandbar. [The Sands Hotel will commence a small refurbishment of our Courtyard Rooms from Monday 18th May until Friday 3rd July inclusive. The works are contained entirely in the Courtyard section of the hotel. The work WILL NOT impact Villas or Superior Rooms enjoyment All other hotel services including the Restaurant, Bar, Function Rooms, Pool and Gym are fully operational and not impacted in any way]
